Ms. Shaily Gupta is a Fellow Chartered Accountant with more than 14 years of post-qualification experience in direct tax and has, over the years, gained considerable expertise in the field of domestic and international tax advisory and litigation. She has been associated with the Firm since 2011.

She has served various multinational enterprises, Indian companies as well as high net worth individuals with tax compliances, tax consulting, revenue audits, appeals, etc. She has extensive experience in handling income tax litigation matters before appellate authorities and Courts. She has represented, independently argued as well as assisted senior counsels in various published orders, on domestic and international tax issues, including certain landmark decisions. She has been advising clients on taxation aspects of various cross-border transactions involving Treaty interpretation.

Ms. Shaily has been instrumental in setting up the Firm’s compliance practice for assisting clients in filing of tax returns, scrutiny assessments, liaisoning with department officials, etc. She is also a frequent speaker at technical forums on taxation and regularly contributes articles to Tax Journals. She secured All India 16th Rank in the CA PE-II exams and was felicitated with the Long Strider award by her alma mater, Gargi College (Delhi University) for excellence in the profession.

Prior to joining Vaish, Ms. Shaily worked with Ernst & Young.
