Mr. Bomi Daruwala heads the Mumbai office of Vaish Associates. He has been associated with the Firm since 1988. He is also a qualified Chartered Accountant and Cost Accountant. He has been practicing since last 30 years in the area of domestic and international tax. He has been involved in several complex tax litigations and has successfully argued several tax cases relating to domestic and cross-border taxation issues of foreign companies, multinationals and large Indian corporate houses before various High Courts, Authority for Advance Rulings, Tax Tribunals and other appellate authorities. He has also been advising corporates on various issues relating to domestic and international taxation and has over the years gained expertise in the field of transfer pricing as well.
He also specializes in mergers & acquisitions, restructuring of business, asset & share purchase deals, takeovers, divestitures, securities offerings, structuring of complex debt and equity investments and general corporate and tax advisory. He also has a wide range of experience across sectors in cross-border business transactions, private equity, angel and venture capital round financings, joint ventures, strategic alliances and business divorces. He is also registered as an insolvency professional with the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Board of India.
